argentina in seventh heaven as boks pay price for indiscipline

Argentina Legends kept their composure to secure their seventh World Rugby Classic title by toppling 14-man Classic Springboks last night at North Field, National Sports Centre.
The Argentinians scored one try, a conversion and two penalties to finish unbeaten with 12 points in the six-team tournament. South Africa, who finished with 14 players on the park after Belgium Tuatagaloa was sent off for punching an opponent, managed only a converted try.
New format for World Rugby Classic

Argentina Legends, Classic Canada, Classic Eagles, Italian Classic, Classic Lions and champions Classic Springboks will play three matches each from November 1 to 7, with the team topping the league declared winners of the tournament.

Debutant Charles Mayeza scored a hat-trick of tries as the Classic Springboks started their World Rugby Classic title defence with a huge triumph over Classic Eagles on Sunday.

Argentina shot to the top of the World Rugby Classic standings after a come-from-behind triumph over Canada at the National Sports Centre last night.
It was the second victory of the tournament for the Argentinians, which moved them on to eight points, three more than champions South Africa, who face the Lions tonight.
Springboks back on top as US clinch sevens crown

Champions South Africa fought from a try down to overcome the Classic Lions and rack up their second bonus-point victory at the World Rugby Classic.
Five tries and three conversions gave the South Africans full points from the match and moved them to the top of the standings with ten points. The Lions, who suffered a second loss of the tournament, crossed the try line twice.
